Butter chicken in Alpharetta, the Khan’s Kitchen way
Good butter chicken starts in the tandoor. The chicken is marinated in yogurt and spices and charred in the clay oven first, so it carries a little smoke into the sauce. Then it goes into a smooth tomato gravy finished with butter and cream. The result is gentle, a little sweet, a little tangy, and very hard to stop eating.
It is also the dish we recommend to guests who are new to Indian and Pakistani food, or who are bringing children. Ask for it mild and it is as comforting as a bowl of tomato soup. Ask for it spicy and it grows up quickly.

Butter chicken or chicken tikka masala?
They look alike and people mix them up all the time. Our Butter Chicken is richer and milder, with butter and tomato in front. Our Chicken Tikka Masala uses charred chicken tikka in a tomato cream that is more heavily spiced. If you like a bit more warmth, go with tikka masala.

What is the difference between butter chicken and chicken tikka masala?
Butter chicken is milder and richer, with tandoori chicken in a tomato butter sauce. Chicken tikka masala uses charred chicken tikka in a more heavily spiced tomato cream.
Is your butter chicken spicy?
It is naturally mild, and we cook it mild, medium or spicy to order.
Does butter chicken come with rice?
Yes. Curries are served with basmati rice. Naan is ordered separately.
